- Install.readme
- --------------
- If this came to you as an archive it should be dearchived to a blank
- floppy named "TerminusMaster". However, it can also be installed from a
- directory if you desire. Two installation scripts are present, one for
- hard disk installation and one for creating a boot/work floppy disk set
- for use on a floppy based system. The script is able to create 1.3,
- 2.04 and 2.1 boot disks.
-
- The two installation scripts are to be used with the included Installer
- utility. Either script can be executed from RAM:.
-
-
- HD_Install
- ----------
- This script, as the name indicates, is used both for installing and
- updating Terminus to a hard disk. It's execution is straightforward,
- respond to the questions that are posted during installation.
-
-
- Floppy_Install
- --------------
- This script first requires a boot disk for copying the various font
- and library files needed for using Terminus. If you are supplying your
- own boot disk for this it will need approximately 140k of free disk
- for these files. Alternatively, this script can create a boot disk for
- you. You will need to supply a copy of your original Workbench disk,
- versions 1.3, 2.0 and 2.1 are supported for this operation.
-
- Second, the script requires a formatted, blank disk that will be used
- to install Terminus to. If you want to update a Terminus disk, make sure
- the disk is labled "TERMINUS" so that the script can detect this
- condition.
-
- Follow the directions that the script issues during execution to
- complete the installation successfully.
